Fuji Photo Film, Greenwood SC

Piping and Structural design for the installation of the P7 process upgrades in the P Plant at Fuji’s Greenwood facility. Scope included equipment layouts, detailed process skid drawings, schematic plan drawings and detailed isometrics with bill of materials. Worked with Carolina Design PC to provide structural design for process vessel support and access platforms.

Parachem Inc., Simpsonville SC

The process, Piping and Structural design for the installation of a new 120,000-gallon waste storage system for Parachem’s Simpsonville facility. The system included four (4) 30,000-gallon storage tanks and a 675-gallon waste collection sump with a duplex set of 150 GPM diaphragm pumps. Scope included P&ID’s, equipment layout, piping design, and control system specification. Worked with Carolina Design PC to provide foundation design for the storage tanks.

Millennium Mat, Performance Heating, LLC, Suwannee, GA

Piping design for a new 8 MMBTU/hr gas-fired Garoni Naval thermal fluid heater system feeding five (5) secondary loops for Millennium Mat’s new production facility in Suwannee, GA. Scope included equipment layout, piping design drawings, pipe support design, and system stress analysis. Heater room piping was modeled in AutoCAD Plant 3D and isometrics with bills of material were generated to assist fabrication.

Michelin US10, O’Neal, Inc., Starr, SC

Mechanical and Piping design for the new central utility systems in the 124 building with O’Neal for Michelin’s new US 10 earthmover tire plant in Starr, SC. Major equipment included two (2) 80,000 lb/hr boilers with 75′ dual wall stacks, three (3) 2300 ton cooling towers with common sump, and three (3) 1400 ton chillers. Scope included equipment layouts, and piping and support design for the chilled water, cooling water, boiler feedwater, compressed air, process water, process cooling water, soft water, fuel oil, and steam production systems.

GE Gas Turbine, Renfrow Brothers, Inc., Greenville, SC

Piping 3D model and isometric fabrication drawings for the technology lab’s RGT upgrades in the gas turbine test cells area. Systems upgraded included injection, condenser water, exhaust gas recirculation, and process air systems. The 3D model was created using AutoCAD Plant 3D from P&ID’s and 2D drawings supplied by others. Eighty seven (87) isometric drawings including bill of material, piping cut list, valve tags, piping specification, and dimensional data were generated from the model for Renfrow’s use in shop fabrication

GE Gas Turbine, Palmetto Engineering Inc., Greenville, SC

Piping design for the relocation of an existing bucket repair process from Houston, TX into a upfited 28,000 square foot existing warehouse area in GE’s Greenville facility with PEC. Over eighty (80) pieces of equipment were relocated or repurposed included vacuum furnaces, robotic coating cells, weld booths, and various metal working machines. Scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for the compressed air, process water, process cooling water, argon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, process drain, and exhaust distribution.

Piping shop fabrication drawings for sanitary stainless steel hot water jacketed glucose and oil systems for Morinaga’s new facility in Mebane, NC. Used 3D model and 2D drawings supplied by others to create three hundred and seventy (370) spool drawings including bill of material, piping cut list, valve tags, piping specification, and dimensional data for Keystone’s use in shop fabrication.

First Quality, Anderson, SC

Ongoing machine design services for the Converting Area in First Quality’s tissue plant in Anderson, SC.  Typical scope includes field verification and development of detailed drawings for Owner requested modifications of installed equipment for process improvement.

Georgia Pacific, NHWL, Inc., Perry, FL

Performed ASME B31.1 and B31.3 stress analysis on process and utility piping designed by NHWL for new evaporator system installation at GP’s Perry, FL facility.  Used 3D model and isometric drawings to create stress models in SST’s Caepipe stress program.  Analysis included seven hundred twenty three (723) process isometrics that were built into thirty one (31) system models.  Models were evaluated for operating and wind conditions.

E&I, Context Design Group, Anderson, SC

HVAC, Plumbing and Piping design for the up fit of the office area expansion of E&I’s facility in Anderson, SC.  HVAC scope included heating and cooling load calculations, air distribution design, ventilation system design, and equipment selection.  Plumbing scope included the design of the water supply and waste systems for the bathrooms.  Piping scope included the design of the compressed air system upgrade.

Process, Piping, and HVAC design for the production areas in Ritrama facility in Moore, SC.  Process scope included P&ID development and equipment specifications for boiler, air compressor, chilled water, and adhesive systems.  Piping scope included the design of the steam, condensate, compressed air, service water, chilled water, natural gas systems.  HVAC scope included heating and cooling load calculations, air distribution design, ventilation system design, and equipment selection.

FMC – Lithium, Bessemer City, NC

Piping, Electrical, and Controls design for the Underflow Tank T-101 Replacement project at FMC-Lithium’s existing production facility in Bessemer City, NC.  Piping scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for new piping, and piping support details. Thirty-nine (39) isometrics with bills of material were generated to assist shop fabrication of the piping due to shutdown time limitations. Partnered with Red Oak Engineering to provide Electrical and Controls Scope.

Royal Chemicals LLC, Simpsonville, SC

Process and Piping design for the new GMAA storage, heating, and distribution system for Royal Chemical’s Simpsonville facility.  Equipment included a repurposed 7,700-gallon storage tank, a new heating coil for the tank, and new temperature control pump skid.  Scope included equipment arrangements, P&ID’s, field verification of system tie in points, coil design drawings, piping design drawings, and piping support details.

Continental Tire, Inc., Keystone Constructors, Sumter, SC

Piping design for the curing utility trench headers for Continental’s tire production facility expansion in Sumter, SC.  Systems included 17 bar steam, 4 bar steam, cooling water supply, cooling water return, compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum, clean condensate, and dirty condensate feeding seventy-eight (78) curing presses. Model was used for BIM and clash detection by the General Contractor. Construction plans, sections, and isometrics with BOM were generated from the model for each trench set for Keystone’s use.

HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping design for the new production area and office area expansion of Draexlmaier’s facility in Duncan, SC.  HVAC scope included heating and cooling load calculations, air distribution design, ventilation system design, and equipment selection.  Plumbing scope included the design of the water supply and waste systems for the bathrooms and the roof drain piping for all areas.  Piping scope included the design of the compressed air, service water, and natural gas system distribution headers.

Solvay, O’Neal Inc., Augusta, GA

Piping design for the utility tie-ins and pipe rack associated with the new PEEK production facility at Solvay’s Augusta GA site.  Scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for new rack piping on the existing pipe bridge, and piping support details.  Seventeen (17) isometrics with bills of material were generated for the tie-ins and five (5) 2D plan drawings with sections were developed for the rack piping.

HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping design for the production, lab, and office areas in Kiswire’s new wire drawing facility in Pine Bluff, AR.  HVAC scope included heating and cooling load calculations, air distribution design, ventilation system design, and equipment selection.  Plumbing scope included the design for the water supply and waste systems for the bathrooms and canteen.  Piping scope included the design of the steam, condensate, compressed air, service water, cooling water, natural gas, rinse water drain, and spent acid drain systems.

3D Model – General Electric Gas Turbine, Palmetto E & C, Inc., Greenville, SC

Piping study of the existing argon bulk gas distribution systems in the Manufacturing and Combustion buildings at GE’s Greenville facility with PEC.  Scope included field verification of the system routing, development of a 3D model of the systems, and development of network flow model of the system to evaluate existing and future pressure drops.

Resolute Forest Products, NHWL, Inc., Calhoun, TN

Performed ASME B31.1 and B31.3 stress analysis on piping designed by NHWL for new digester installation at Resolute’s Calhoun TN facility.  Used 3D model and isometric drawings to create stress models in SST’s Caepipe stress program.  Analysis included eighty-nine (89) process lines that were built into thirty-three (33) system models.  Models were evaluated for operating, wind, and seismic conditions.

Piping design for the LIOH Instrumentation upgrade project at FMC-Lithium’s existing production facility in Bessemer City, NC.  Scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for new piping, and piping support details. Eleven (11) isometrics with bills of material were generated to assist shop fabrication of the piping due to shutdown time limitations.

General Electric Gas Turbine, Palmetto E & C, Inc., Greenville, SC

Piping design for the installation of new gas metering in the argon, hydrogen, and helium bulk gas distribution systems at GE’s Greenville facility with PEC.  Scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for twelve (12) argon meters, four (4) hydrogen meters, and one (1) helium meter, and piping support details.

Piping design for the 3rd Effect Evaporator Replacement project in the LIOH process at FMC-Lithium’s existing production facility in Bessemer City, NC.  Scope included field verification of system tie in points, piping design for new piping, and piping support details. Thirty (30) isometrics with bills of material were generated to assist shop fabrication of the piping due to shutdown time limitations.
